Multiblast were engaged by Watpac Constructions to carry out the concrete honing & sealing to the pool surround of the brand-new Aquatic Centre, at Griffith University. Featuring an Olympic size swimming pool, the entire 1,600 sq.m surrounding concourse was honed to fully expose a multitude of coloured stones – Hanson ImageCrete Colorado.
As a high-traffic wet area, safety and slip-resistance were critical. The sealed surface not only enhanced traction for pool-goers but also delivered a high-gloss aesthetic through a ‘wet-look’ penetrating sealer. The end result is a vibrant, durable finish with excellent protection against staining—ideal for public aquatic facilities across South East Queensland.
Despite extreme summer weather during construction, our experienced team completed the Gold Coast epoxy flooring and concrete sealing project on time.
